HOCATT was founded by André Hugo Smith, who sought to transform the way people approach health and wellness. As the son of an electrical engineer, André spent his youth helping his father with various DIY projects, fostering a love for problem-solving and a passion for helping others. Through his early experiences and driven by his credo, “Never Give Up, there is always a solution,” André went on to create the revolutionary HOCATT wellness sauna.
This unique wellness device combines 10 cutting-edge technologies, designed to help people detox, relax, and rejuvenate in a spa-like session, reducing stress, improving energy, and enhancing mental clarity. Throughout the years, the HOCATT has gained recognition from influential personalities and medical professionals, including Tony Robbins.
André and his team of experts work tirelessly to bring the message of HOCATT to the world. André Hugo Smith founded Signature Health Ltd South Africa in 2002, after working for several years with prominent doctors and medical advisers to include the esteemed Dr David Minkoff. André went on to develope the, Smith ozone chamber.
2002In 2004, 10 Smith Chambers were sold to the Ruler of Dubai for his personal and family use. Subsequently, this was such a success, Dubai’s Ruler requested that André built a prototype chamber for his horses.
2004By 2010 André had developed the Hocatt steam pod to include the 8 additional therapies available within a 30 minute session. In 2011 the Hocatt arrived in Europe with distributors established in Germany, Czech Republic and Romania.
2010With the ever increasing interest in the Hocatt, in 2011 André broke into the US market. This led to many influential personalities and medical professionals, to include Tony Robbins, purchasing the Hocatt and HU=GO. 2013 the Hocatt arrived in Australia and New Zealand and distributors were established.
20112017 the HU=GO Pulse Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) was launched, which coincided with the formation of Signature Health Italy.

While his father had a regimented system in dealing with Andre and his brothers, he also believed in helping those less fortunate. These early lessons instilled a strong work ethic and belief in supporting others, leading Andre to create several unique wellness products and ultimately find a solution that will disrupt the way health and cosmetic therapies are done in the future – the HOCATT.
As the founder of Signature Health, Andre ensures that the company culture is steeped in community involvement while also remaining passionate about innovation. Using a childhood credo of “Never Give Up, there is always a solution” Andre and his research team continue to positively impact the lives of others through a variety of visionary inventions focused on improving health and vitality.
Andre’s foray into wellness products began when he was selling hydrotherapy products. Desiring something he could feel good about, his research led him to ozone therapy. After studying several doctors, Andre approached Dr. Peter Essex Clark, renowned physician whose work on ozone therapy was well known. Dr. Clark refused Andre’s request for teaching, but that did not deter him from his path. With a will, Andre began looking for a way to bring this therapy he believed in to fruition – into a way that made it easy for the general public to access easily and safely.
Around 2002, Andre continued his quest for a device that would provide ozone therapy in an easy-to-use way. After multiple attempts, he landed on the early renditions of what would become the HOCATT – a closed loop system that prevented ozone from mixing with air. The first marketable unit was completed in 2004.

Andre continues to focus on his passion to provide ozone therapy to the masses so they can understand and reap the benefits of this therapy. Through his leadership, Signature Health continues to focus on serving humanity through wellness strategies via devices such as the HOCATT.
